Position: Excavator Operator (Direct Hire)
Location: Timmins, ON
Job Type: Full-time, Contract (7 months with potential for extension)
Start Date: Immediate
Wage: $40/hour + Overtime after 8 hours per day.

Northern Labour Supply Services (NLSS) is currently hiring Excavator Operators to work at an open-pit site in the Timmins area. This is a direct-hire opportunity — successful candidates will join NLSS workforce directly.

Key Responsibilities:
•Operate 35T, 50T, and 74T hydraulic excavators (CAT 336, 352, 374 or equivalent) for finish grading and/or bulk loading
•Conduct daily pre-op inspections and report safety or mechanical concerns
•Maintain efficient and safe digging, trenching, and loading practices
•Communicate effectively with dispatch and other equipment operators
•Follow all site-specific health and safety protocols
Shift Schedule:
•5/2 schedule: 12-hour shifts (6AM–6PM or 6PM–6AM)
•Current openings include both day and night shifts; fixed shifts preferred due to limited turnaround time
•Rotation strategy may be revisited based on operational feedback

Requirements:
•1–2 years of experience operating large excavators in construction, mining, or industrial settings
•Reliable transportation and valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License
•Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
•Comfortable working fixed day or night shifts on a 5/2 rotation
•Required certifications (or willingness to complete): WHMIS, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, Dome Site Inductions
