Job Type: Full-time, Contract (7 months with potential for extension)

Wage: $40/hour + Overtime after 8 hours per day

Northern Labour Supply Services (NLSS) is currently hiring Dozer Operators to work at an open-pit site in Timmins, Ontario. This is a direct-hire opportunity, with all successful candidates employed directly by NLSS.

Key Responsibilities:
•Operate CAT D6 and D8 size dozers to push, level, and grade rockfill and overburden material
•Build and maintain access roads, dump sites, and embankments as part of a tailings dam project
•Spread materials in layers, compact fills, and shape terrain to engineered specifications
•Perform daily equipment checks and report mechanical issues or safety concerns
•Communicate effectively with supervisors and other heavy equipment operators on site
•Follow all health, safety, and environmental standards and protocols

Requirements:
•Minimum 1–2 years of dozer operation experience in an open-pit or heavy civil environment
•Proficiency operating D6–D8 class dozers, including experience with rockfill and overburden work
•Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s License
•Reliable transportation to and from the job site (Timmins-based)
•Willing and able to complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
•Comfortable working 12-hour strictly day or strictly night shifts (non-rotating), on a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule
•Must have or be willing to complete: WHMIS certification, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps, and Site-specific induction
