POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Warehouse Technician will be responsible for shipping & receiving, as well as storage and retrieval of goods and materials in a safe, accurate and organized manner.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and manage inventory levels and controls.
  • Enter data in inventory and logistics software.
  • Receive, verify and unload incoming materials.
  • Organize goods for safe and easy access, maintain a clean warehouse space.
  • Keep accurate records of goods and materials entering and leaving the warehouse.
  • Receive and process warehouse stock orders.
  • Complete any required receiving or shipping documentation.
  • Packaging of material or goods for storage, shipment, or return.
  • Organize delivery of materials & goods requested to departments and contractors.
  • Perform various tasks related to warehousing operations including returns processing, inspection of goods and material verifications.
  • Operation of various types of equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and tele-handlers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 2 years warehousing & logistics experience, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Experience operating forklifts, loaders, and tele-handlers as well as a valid Ontario driver’s license.
  • Procurement software experience and barcode technology knowledge would be an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Physical requirements: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching and standing for extended periods.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • The role is located at the Redstone Mill, which is approximately 35 kilometers southeast of Timmins, Ontario, Canada.
  • The ideal candidate for the role will work a schedule of 5 days on and 2 off, 8-hour days.
  • Although you will be assigned a work schedule, this is not a guaranteed schedule of hours, and your work hours may vary with the needs of the company.
