Job Summary
Cain Safety Fire Protection Inc. is looking for a full-time sprinkler
fitter to join their professional and highly skilled team of employees.
Candidates must be willing to work Monday to Friday while occasionally
attending after hour service calls on weeknights and weekends. Cain Safety Fire
Protection Inc. is committed to providing their customers with quality fire
protection services around the clock and is seeking a candidate that will
represent the company in a professional and respectful manor while dealing with
both customers and fellow colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the installation of various fire protection systems
- Performing semi-annual and annual inspections on wet and dry sprinkler systems, foam systems, deluge systems, dry chemical systems, and pre-action systems to ensure they meet safety standards and are in optimal working condition.
- Preparing thorough inspection and maintenance reports using a tablet, ensuring accurate records of all work completed.
- Troubleshooting and identifying problems with fire suppression systems during inspections or service calls.
- Attending after-hours and weekend service calls, ensuring emergency issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- A clean and valid driver’s license (G-license)
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy piping and equipment used in fire protection systems.
- Physically capable of install piping overhead in various environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals related to fire suppression systems.
- Willingness to work occasional after-hours and weekend service calls.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language – French is an asset
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety standards on the job.
Experience:
- 1-2 years experience in the fire protection industry is an asset
- Previous experience in pipe fitting is preferred.
