The Porcupine Dante Club is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Set-up/Event Worker for its banquet halls, authentic Italian restaurant and conference center.

As a Set-up/Event worker, you would be responsible for the set up and tear down of tables and chairs, stages, and equipment for banquets and events. Additionally, you would be required to perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs and upkeep of our facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist/responsible for tear down before and after events, adhering to event specifications.
• Be familiar/comfortable with audio visual equipment and set up.
• Assist the Manager with preparing and planning for events (weddings, banquets, special events);
• Routine maintenance tasks, repairs and upkeep of our facilities and equipment including general cleaning (floors, washrooms, chairs, carpets), painting, garbage collection
• Develop and communicate standard operating procedures.
• Organizing storage areas
• Delivery of catering for off-site events/orders.
• Maintenance of outside grounds (sidewalk and parking lot).
• Receive direction from office and/or site staff on work to be completed daily.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Availability to work flexible hours such as evenings and weekends.
• Excellent communication, leadership, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work on a number of projects with competing deadlines.
• Experience with Event set ups and maintenance work would be an asset.
• Meet the physical demands of the position including the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Previous experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license.
