Advanced Security LP is a proud member of the Attawapiskat Enterprises Group of Companies. We are seeking an experienced team oriented  professional security technician to compliment our Field Services Technical team. Our company specializes in Access Control Systems, Burglar Systems, Video Surveillance, CCTV, Fire Monitoring and Structured Cabling & Networking.

Responsibilities:

• Install and program new alarm and security systems, to include CCTV and Access Control
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and security systems
• Perform annual inspection of alarm monitoring equipment
• Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all system types

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security installation, maintenance, or other related fields
• Understanding of CAN/ULC-S561
• Basic Networking Knowledge
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail

Position Requirements:

Minimum: High School diploma, post secondary diploma preferred.

Must possess the following:

• Be comfortable working with and troubleshooting hardware down to the component level
• Have proven industry experience
• Be highly organized, motivated and focused
• Be capable of working independently
• Be able to work well in a team
• Be able to communicate fluently in English (written and oral)
• Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
• Must undergo a security check
• Willingness for some travel (including James Bay Coastal Communities)

Definite Assets:

• Be enrolled in or have CFAA and CANASA ATC certification
• Previous telco experience
• Previous Networking Experience
• Experience with products such as DSC, Digital Watchdog, AXIS, Hanwha, Hartmann, Kantech
• Bilingual is an asset
