Access Better Living Inc. is a not-for-profit organization promoting independent living and community involvement for seniors and persons with disabilities through the provision of quality services and housing.

We are seeking to hire Permanent Part-Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) to work in our community-based Assisted Living High Risk Senior and Low Acuity Programs within a unionized environment in Timmins.

As a Personal Support Worker, you will be able to assist seniors at risk and want to remain in their own home. You will assist with activities of daily living and personal care as directed by their individual care plan. Services range from personal care and support to homemaking.

Qualifications:

• PSW certification, DSW Certification, have completed the First Year of RPN or RN Program, or any relevant experience demonstrating skills and knowledge related to the position
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Bilingualism is an asset but not mandatory
• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance (2 million liability), as the use of your personal vehicle is required.
• Clear criminal record
• Current standard first aid and CPR certification
