Work Schedule: 5-5-4 rotation, 12-hour shifts. Although this is the established schedule, the company reserves the right to modify it as needed to meet operational requirements.
Compensation: Hourly, based on experience and qualifications.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Northern Sun Mining currently has an exciting opportunity for a Loadout Operator to join our Metallurgical department. Reporting to the Lab Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the weighing and tracking of all outgoing shipments at the truck scale. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate measurements while adhering to safety and quality standards. Please note that this is not a camp-based position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate Larox Filter press to dewater flotation concentrate.
- Sample filter cake to ensure proper filter press performance.
- Operate conveyors to fill bulk bags with flotation concentrate.
- Operate forklift to weigh and organize bulk bags for sampling.
- Work with Loadout Sample Technicians to organize concentrate lots to be shipped.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform equipment checks.
- Ensure equipment and shift reports are completed during the shift.
- Perform snow removal of truck scale as needed.
- Proficiently operate a two-way radio when required.
- Work in compliance with prescribed company policies and procedures.
- Be proactive with company safety initiatives.
- Additional tasks as assigned by the Operations Shift Supervisor and/or Operations General Foreman.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic Mill Process Operator Common Core is an asset.
- Ability to maintain high-quality standards in documentation and operation processes.
- Basic understanding of sampling procedures is highly regarded.
- Capable of performing physical tasks in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
