Job Title: Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician – Lead Hand (Field Mechanic)

CJ Equipment Sales and Service is seeking a qualified Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician/Lead Hand to join our team. This is a field-based role operating a fully equipped service truck with leadership responsibilities over a team of HETs. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, highly motivated, and possess a strong work ethic with proven leadership and technical experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of Heavy Equipment Technicians
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment
• Operate and maintain a fully equipped CJ Equipment field service truck
• Communicate with site supervisors to prioritize and coordinate work
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Certified Heavy Equipment Technician (Off-Road)
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, and Hitachi equipment
• 5+ years in heavy civil construction or mining environments
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage high workloads and work under pressure
• Physically fit and self-motivated
• Valid driver's license with clean abstract

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly wage: $45.00–$55.00
