Registered Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy
Full - Time and Part-Time
Position Summary:
Performs technical and clerical duties to support medication distribution, including obtaining Best Possible Medication Histories (BPMH) and assisting with medication reconciliation. Supports pharmacists in delivering pharmaceutical care within defined scope. Responsibilities include dispensing unit-dose medications using automated packaging systems (PACMED), stocking automated dispending units (ADUs), and preparing IV, chemotherapeutic, and hazardous medications under pharmacist supervision.
Position Requirements:
- Registered pharmacy technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- 1-3 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Experience with total parenteral nutrition (TPN), IV and chemotherapy preparation, and BPMH is an asset
- Ability to work both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
- Capable of working independently at an off-site location preparing IV medications
- Proficiency with hospital information systems (Meditech Expanse preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Experience with narcotic and controlled drug inventory procedures
- Demonstrates professionalism, patience, and tact with staff and patients.
- Reliable attendance record
- Physically able to lift, move, and handle materials, and perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending and reaching.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required; candidates not meeting language requirements are encouraged to apply for future opportunities.

- Starting salary of $32.32/hour; $63,024.00/year range to 37.27/hour; $72,676.50/year
- Option to enroll into Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan.
