About This Opportunity

This position will join our team working in Matachewan, Ontario on a full-time basis. The schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off.

This position offers a salary range of $85.00 to $95.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a MacLean Bolter to install bolts, screen, mesh and other ground support as required in development headings.
• Install bolts, screen, mesh and other ground support as required.
• Conducts workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• Performs pre-operational equipment inspections.
• Completes minor maintenance on equipment.
• Works safely while following mine procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience of operating a MacLean Bolter in an underground mining environment.
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core
• Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Valid driver’s license
• Eligible to work in Canada
